Welcome to the LEAdeRNship Blog! Thank you for taking time out of your day to spend with us. In this initial blog we will discuss our mission and thoughts on LEAdeRNship.
Imagine back to a Sunday night... You've had an amazing weekend. You've spent time with friend and family, caught up on rest, and of course had some great meals. Then all of a sudden Sunday night hits and you get this feeling in your gut.. and a tightness in your chest. The weekend flew by, it didn't seem long enough... Every core of your being is dreading the inevitable coming of Monday morning. You don't mind your job, it fits your talents just fine. The base pay and other compensation is suitable. You even get along great with your co-workers.
What is it that causes that Monday morning dread? It's your boss... Nothing is ever good enough for them. They give you tasks and don't explain their expectations. They expect you to know what they are thinking. If you don't perform well they come down on your hard. You are reprimanded in front of other co-workers. They never ask about you as a person, treating you more like a machine than a person. You have never heard them admit to being wrong. The list goes on and on. They make your work life a living nightmare.
At the LEAdeRNship Institute we believe that Better Leaders =Better Lives. Our mission is to improve leaders throughout the world to improves lives. It's a lofty mission, but we know that we can and will improve one leader at a time. The core of our programs and services is LEAdeRNship - combining the intertwining journeys of leadership and learning.
Each week we will cover topics that are important for leaders to know. We will also end with a reflection question. We encourage your feedback and suggestions for topics. Please email us at anytime leadernshipinstitute@gmail.com
